Question 6

Do you offer dog day care or dog boarding?

Accepted Answer

No. HillTop Hounds provides dog walking (individual and group), home visits, and pet sitting in your own home — we do not offer day care, day boarding, or any drop-off or stay-over facility service. In England, providing dog day care or dog boarding (including home boarding) is a licensable activity under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018. Any business offering these services must hold a valid licence issued by their local council, and a full register of licensed providers is held by each council. Insurance alone does not make a provider legal — a council licence is the primary legal requirement, with insurance sitting alongside it. Always check a provider's council licence first, confirm their insurance second, and only then consider whether their service is the right fit for your dog.
